1854 PATTERN OFFICERS SWORD

We have for sale a 1854 pattern officers sword by Wilkinson serial numbered 18125 which dates it to late 1871 and one of 900 swords made that year.

Condition fair with a few minor issues the shark skin has a few pieces missing and some gaping at the backpiece  and the guard has had a couple of knocks hopefully all clearly visible in the pictures.

BRITISH OFFICERS SWORD

We have for sale a 1854 pattern British officers sword by fenton brothers sword cutlers to the war office, established in 1875 by john and frank fenton.

The sword is in nice condition, could probably do with a clean but grip is good and tight and the etching on blade also in good condition. The leather has a small  bit of splitting at the end hopefully visible in the pictures.

This sword belonged to a Irish captain from Templepatrick Northern Ireland why there is a whistle attached i have no idea but that is the way i bought it .

BRITISH NAVAL SWORD

We have for sale a British Naval sword by Scorey in sleeper condition. The blade has some rusting worse near the grip, brass work loose but in decent condition barr a 20mm split on the bottom piece.The  leather scabbard is dry but in good condition no splits or breaks and all the stitching is in good order . Having pointed all the bad with this sword it is still a nice item and with little restoration could be a very nice addition to some ones collection.

1821 PATTERN OFFICERS SWORD

We have for sale a 1821 pattern officers sword by Hobson and sons London 1873-1967 in reasonable condition, The blade inscribed 2nd lowland brigade RFA .

Some pitting to the blade, one grip wire broken on the handle. The scabbard has had some sort of repair to the center with brass and it is split . having pointed out the bad parts this is still a very nice sword.

R U C WILKINSON SWORD

We have for sale a Wilkinson sword serial no 82586 in its black leather scabbard and with black leather sword knot , in good condition everything tight and sits well in the scabbard. the grip and guard are both in great condition the blade has some  minor staining and blemishes on the plating otherwise a nice sword.

 This sword was first issued 10/12/1960 and is recorded as a infantry sword, it was purchased by crown agents {Kenya, which became independent on 12/12/1963}.

How it came to owned by a R U C officer serving in Northern Ireland i have no idea.It was bought from the family of the officer and i have no paper work to support the ownership of this sword by a  R U C officer nor can i give any more information about him other than the fact that he came from County Antrim

E11R ROYAL SIGNALS SWORD

The inscription reads [ presented to wo1 rsm Heaney from all ranks Manchester and Salford Universities Officers Training Corps on the occasion of his commissioning into the Royal Corps of Signals in july 1990 ]  The sword is serial numbered 121380 . This sword is in really nice condition the only small fault i can find is fine marks on the plate on the inside of the hand guard which i have tried to show in the pictures outside is perfect.

I have not done any research on this sword but the information i received when i bought it was that  RSM Heaney settled here in Northern Ireland and is now unfortunatley deceased and rests in Roselawn cemetry belfast.
