We have for sale a very nice set of Great British Regiments silver medals & insignia set
This was a Collectors Set Limited Edition of 3000 sets collected in monthly issues struck by the Birmingham Mint in the 1970’s and consisting of 52 hallmarked sterling silver medals, regiments’ insignia and a military chest style case. Each sterling silver medal was struck in proof quality with high mirror finish background and frosted reliefs. The 52 medals were approx 1 3/4 inches (45mm) in diameter and contain over 1.4 troy ounces of silver. The medals have full Birmingham hallmarks for sterling silver on the edge. To accompany each medal “is a reminder of the regiments insignia in the form of a badge which is accurate in every detail since The Birmingham Mint has been striking insignia badges for nearly 200 years.This is set no 1639 and was collected by SGT BA Rodgers of the REME in 1979. Comes with all paper work. unfortunately one medal and a badge have some staining i have taken a picture of them to show the extent of the marks other wise the rest are in lovely condition but not mint .

FIRST WOLD WAR – SEAFORTH HIGHLANDER DRUMMER BUST
We have for sale a terrific bust of a first world war seaforth highlander drummer uniform and accessories consisting of a
Pre First World War tunic in fair condition, jacket has had slight repair work where holes have appeared otherwise a nice item. The highland headress is made in Glasgow and is ostrich feathers and is First World War period also.
The glengarry headress is dated 1915 and is in excellent condition.
The leather music pouch is First World War and has sheet music dated 1914.
The small ammunition pouch has a SEAFORTH badge attached, the white belt and brass buckle is slade wallis equipment from the boer war along with the frog attached.
The drum strap is not period,however it does add to the overall look of the mannequin.
The sporran and kilt is SEAFORTH highlander and are First World War period.
The bayonet is a lee Metford and is in excellent condition
The arm band shown is First World War period and denotes stretcher bearer.
Boots are post Second World War however spats and hose tops are First World War period.
The drum is First World War period and measures 14.5″ diameter x 7.5″ depth it is marked “Hawkes & Son London with serial No and marked to the N/Regt 1st Bn The drum has only one skin or head intact Drum sticks are not period.
